This sheet has not been converted from an Essay format to the new Multiple-MultipleChoice format. The topics covered are the key point to focus on.  If you can explain the issue like an essay, you should be able to reason your way through the new test format.

Questions may differ from this sheet and are not restricted to the items on this sheetHowever, this should should prepare you quite well.
 

Long or Short Essay Questions:

1. Compare and contrast the Biblical teaching on Creation with one or more of the alternative view points discussed in class. Include some implications on Christian beliefs and faith of these alternatives that are accepted. (I.e. Ruin & Restoration, Active or Passive Gap, Theistic Evolution, Evolution)

7. The New Testament quotes Habakkuk 2:4 ("The just shall live by faith") three times. Explore each NT usage in its context to describe the two dimensions (meanings, aspects) of righteousness by faith as discussed in class. 8. Describe the divine design for marriage found in Genesis and in Jesus' use of Genesis when He addressed the issue of divorce. How does this apply to today and to you?
 
 
 
 
 
 

9. Why should I keep the Sabbath according to the Biblical regulations (both which day and what kind of activities are allowed/forbidden)? What does Sabbath keeping have to do with my creature-Creator relationship? Include a brief summary of how the Scriptures reveal that we should keep the Sabbath. 10. Survey and explain the positive remarks of Paul concerning the law of God. Use at least 3 texts and summarize how each one reveals Paul's positive regard for God's law. Include discussion of Paul's view of what KIND of mind/person does not and can not obey God's law? (There are at least 5-6 references in Romans 2-8 that you can find very useful -- Romans 8:7 being a most critical one for telling us what KIND of mind wont keep God's law).
