CUSTOM 5 SECOND HOLIDAY IDs
FOR WNEM 5 (Saginaw, MI)

VALENTINE'S DAY

Cupid's Arrow takes aim at a heart.  When the heart is peirced, it transforms into the station's triangle logo icon while the rest of the logo move into place... all against a soft, romantic, candles and roses background.

ST. PATRICK'S DAY

(winner of a 1998 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award)

This treatment of the logo has it staring out in a multitude of pieces arranged in an expolded view that can only be recognized when seen directly from the front. Viewed from any other angle it appears broken. Starting from a side view, the camera arcs around to the front, making the logo appear to reassemble itself amidst a cloud of shamrocks floating above a misty fog.

EASTER

(winner of a 1998 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award)

What would a TV station ID for Easter be without the logo hatching out of a joyfully colored egg as the morning sun rises over a field of grass being gently swayed by the wind?

INDEPENDENCE DAY

(winner of a 1998 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award)

How else could I have made this ID other than making fireworks in the shape of the logo with the American flag waving in the wind and a subtle hint of the Declaration of Independence rising up in the background?

HALLOWEEN
(winner of a 1997 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award)

Picture a corn field on a moonlit night and seeing the station's call letters, rippling like a ghostly apparition, float down into a pumpkin with the logo carved into it as candle gently flickers inside.

THANKSGIVING
(winner of a 1997 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award)

Three maple leaves, with parts of the station's call letters painted on each one, blow across a table set for dinner. They all come together and rest above a wicker cornacopia that has the rest of the logo painted on it.

CHRISTMAS
(winner of a 1997 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award)

A Season's Greeting's Christmas card opens up to reveal the station's logo, but a second look shows that the card is bulging from underneath until it's ripped apart by an ornament with the logo on it as well, which comes to rest in front of a holly wreath.
