NEWS OPENS FOR WNEM 5 (Saginaw,
MI)

TAKE
5 (winner of a 1997 Advertising Federation of Saginaw Valley ADDY Gold Award) Take 5 is the 5pm soft news show and features a play on themes by using the familiar clapboard for video and film shooting as a design lgog element. From this we made on side of the clapboard a quad view window of various graphic design elements based on the "take 1, 2, 3, 4" theme. As the board moves toward the viewer, it rotates to the other side, providing a base on which the title elements come to rest. The clapper then opens and slaps shut in sync with a musical hit and then the whole logo unit moves and rotates again to reveal the program's set and anchors. |

BAKE 5 WITH TAKE 5 This is your basic "bake some bread in an oven, take it out, and out pops the show segment's title logo" animation. We built the 3D oven from scratch and rendered it to appear as realistic as possible in Lightwave 3D 5.5. |

WEATHER
5 (winner of a 1998 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Citation Of Excellence) A specialized news segment open for WNEM's Weather segement. We designed the logo to be chiseled into a massive granite boulder that is split in four parts that slide together in an rumbling sort of fashion as the four seasons fade in behind it. |

SPORTS
5 (winner of a 1998 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Citation Of Excellence) With the success of the Weather open, we treated new Sports segment open the same way. This time we split apart a scoreboard and slid them back together and then had all sorts of sports equipment, like a bat, tennis racket, and various balls, go whizzing by as the ground underneath changed to reflect the appropriate sport. |
