EXPRESSWAY FORD

Expressway Ford, Inc. had an idea... "Let's introduce to new customers our vision of doing things.. fast and speedy... and let's embody that vision in the person of Mr. Zippy.  Now, let's have Mr. Zippy fly over our car lot, land, and give some customers the best service and price in the shortest time ever!"  We said, "OK!"  And so was born an 8 second intro and 4 second tag, forming a 30 second "donut" commerical in which the remaining 20 second "hole" is filled with dealer sales specials.

And so, Mr Zippy flys over the lot and lands in front of a startled pair of customers looking over a big, white, Ford pickup truck.  Mr. Zippy snaps his fingers and instantly the sticker price is reduced.  Dealer highlights fill in the 'hole' followed by Mr. Zippy handing over the keys to the customer and speeding off to another customer.

GRIDIRON MADNESS

(winner of a 1997 Flint Area Advertising Federation ADDY Gold Award and a 1997 Michigan Chapter NATAS EMMY Nomination)

A stylized, yet comical use of what we call the "floating hands and feet" approach to character animation.  In this piece, two football helmets rush headlong into one another on a football field.  The collision causes the title of this open, "Gridiron Madness,"  to spin out to full screen.  The news segment highlights Friday night area high school football games.
